In Santu Tour Operator we have a sociocultural responsibility to the environment in which it develops our activities, preventing the impact that tourists can cause be harmful to populations that are visited on aspects such as their customs, festivities, local cuisine, language, religion, beliefs, etc.

Donation of 50 Solar lighting VOLTAIC equipment to the Nation Q'eros

The February 18 Santu Tour Operator and Q'ellqa equipment company (http://qellqacusco.com) we headed to Ausangate, to find in the depths of the Andes with the Q'eros community and their representatives. Q'eros friends gave us their confidence and allowed us to enter their communities for each of the areas designated by the Mayor to install 50 solar lighting equipment donated by Voltaic brand..

It was a big effort to get to each sector, the walks were very intense but the landscape and the satisfaction of seeing the smiling faces of the beneficiary families made everything worthwhile.

All installation work was carried out in teams, led by their Mayor Q'eros community, had a spotless and very efficient organization, support at all times were met and that we mobilize to each sector, with the support of them at all times. They are amazing people, they vibrate differently, always smiling and willing to help with surprising energy, climb mountains over 5000 meters with ease and some even do jumping and playing a flute, and really admirable physical strength they have.

In each sector we received soup with different types of potatoes and tea.

To achieve the facilities, we must recognize the work of our friend Cesar who had a very active role in the installation and training of solar lighting equipment donated. Cesar is our link with the Q'eros community Nation, who trained to be the local contact to provide technical and maintenance service of the equipment installed.
